Fancy Floats with Friends at Felida (Park) (Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, 1 p.m., Felida Park)
Meet with other members of the Sacajawea community at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16th at Felida Park for root beer, orange, or cream soda ice cream floats! Current, future, and former Skyhawks welcome! Once a Skyhawk, always a Skyhawk...
Kids can play on the playground, chat with friends, and enjoy their treat! We’ll bring sidewalk chalk and a few other informal outdoor activities. We’d love to see you there!
Skyhawk Field Day and Squirt Gun Fight (Thursday, August 14th, 2025, 2 p.m., at Sacajawea school grounds)
We'll set up for Volleyball and Kickball.
Kids can wear their swim gear and bring their squirt guns for a Skyhawk squirt gun battle! We'll provide a place to fill 'em up!
Refreshments or other activities TBD. Hope to see you there!
Are your kids eager to participate in next year's Battle of the Books?
The trivia competition is open to 4th and 5th grade students and is SO MUCH fun!

Help your kids keep the reading skills they achieved this year!
When children keep reading over the summer, they're less likely to lose the educational gains made this school year. Lucky for Sacajawea students, there are many community partners who want to make summer reading exciting and fun!
1 - Fort Vancouver Regional Library - The annual summer reading program at Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries is almost underway! Find more information at www.fvrl.org/summer-reading
2 - Barnes & Noble -
Students who read just 8 books and record them on this sheet can choose a free book from a selection available at the Vancouver Barnes and Noble!
3 - Seize the Bagel -
The store offers students a free bagel and cream cheese for reading 10 books. Fill out this form and bring it into one of their stores! You can complete this as many times as you like!
4 - Chuck E. Cheese -
Record two weeks of daily reading and get 10 free play points at Chuck E. Cheese! Check out the form HERE
5 - Nothing Bundt Cakes -
Between May 19th and August 31st, Pre-K through elementary students can earn a free Bundtlet for each month that students have read for 400 minutes! Find the reading tracker HERE
$1 Summer kids' movies and discounts on snacks
Movies shown Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11 a.m.
Registered kids receive 2 FREE GAMES of bowling (shoe rental not included) and 5 FREE arcade game plays, from OPEN to 6 p.m., now through August 30th!
Traveling through PDX?

If you or someone you love is traveling with sensory needs, we’ve worked with @kulturecity to offer free sensory bags at PDX. Pick one up at the @traveloregon welcome center (near baggage claim) or at either TSA security checkpoints.
