Clubs & Activities

Information is based on 2023-2024 school year, and is subject to change. 

Several of the clubs and sports require sign-up and don't accept new members once the group gets going. Some accept a limited number of students.

Watch for sign-ups in Friday Folders. If you have specific questions about one of these clubs or activities, please reach out to one of the staff contacts. 

Green Team (Year-Round)

When:  Thursday mornings at 7:30 a.m. (roughly every other week, see schedule)

Open to students in grades: K-5

About the group: Students meet to learn about topics about wildlife, plants, and the environment. The Green Team also holds monthly Campus Clean-Up events at 9 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month. Learn more here.

Chess Club

When:  Tuesdays OR Thursdays 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (roughly every week during session, see Calendar)

Open to students in grades: 2-5

About the group: Students learn to play chess. No experience is required! The group welcomes beginners through advanced players, and concludes with a local chess tournament. Students learn the rules of the game, strategies, and mini-game techniques.

Sewing Club

When: Tuesdays 2:30 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. (weekly during session)

Open to students in grades: 4-5

About the group: Students learn to sew, starting with a series of mini projects. No experience is required, and the group welcomes beginners and kids with sewing experience. Having a home sewing machine is not required. Ms. Baybado has a small team of friendly, experienced, volunteer sewing ladies who help students with their projects.

Culture Club

When: Wednesdays 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (roughly every other week during session, see Calendar)

About the group: Students learn about different cultures from around the globe!

Harry Potter Club

When: Wednesdays 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (weekly during session)

Open to students in grades: 3-5

About the group: Professor McElroy offers a several-week after-school club in the Library. Students must have read books 1-7 of the Harry Potter series before the first day of the group. Group activities contain major spoilers from all 7 books.
